Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art veterinary medicine and surgery for the pets of South Florida. We strive to do this with an emphasis on compassion, and on recognizing and honoring the deep bond that exists between our clients and their companion animals.
South Federal Animal Hospital has been in the same location since 1969. Our founder, Dr. Joe Kashner who is now retired, entrusted his legacy to his long time partner of 26 years, Dr. Al Meilan, back in 2002. In January 2015, Dr. Meilan handed the torch over to Dr. Robin Stelljes, who has been with the practice for the past 11 years, as Medical Director to carry on the culture and mission of the hospital.
Throughout these years, we have been fortunate to know many wonderful people, and our memories of unforgettable and extraordinary pets are bountiful.
Our hospital is very proud of our status as an accredited member hospital of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This prestigious accomplishment is achieved by submitting to thorough periodic inspections of all the different aspects of a veterinary office, including medical records, surgery, anesthesia, radiology, and hospital husbandry. Less than 15% of all animal hospitals in the United States can claim this honor, and it is a clear indication of quality and high standards in our profession.
At South Federal Animal Hospital, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.
